Casino Guide

For those of us who are not regulars in Presidential suite most Casinos have to offer, visiting a casino let alone gambling can be either scary or end up like many casino stories where the gambler lost his shirt. For this problem reading material can be the best solution and have you playing Poker, Craps Blackjack and other casino games in not time!
One type of materialavailable for readers is the “how-to-win” manual that has been written by the “World’s Best Player!”
He produces lists upon lists of how much money he has won at various casinos and then proceeds to sell you his own system.
Of course, according to him, you have to play at the $100 level in order to win.
Neither of these kinds of books appealed to me as a beginning player. I could not afford the high stakes called for in the second type of book, and I was completely turned off by the old-fashioned style in the first type.
Where was the book for the person who wanted to learn to play for fun? Fun, of course, means knowing what to do, when to do it, and when to quit!
Where was material for someone like me to read? I wanted to learn to play. Like a pro. I wanted to talk like the others at the table. Where could I learn what they all knew?
I even tried reading books produced by mathematicians who fed millions of hands into computers, tossed millions of pairs of dice into computers, and came up with percentages that were accurate down to the nth degree.
But what good is knowing that “in thousands of tosses the seven will appear 66 2/3 times” when I could never stay at a table for more than a few hours at a time? And as any student of math knows, the laws of average only are good over the “long run,” not the “short run.” I never played for more than four hours at a time.
Four hours represents approximately 300 tosses of the dice (based on 70 tosses an hour).
What good is knowing what could happen in the “long run” of the dice table, when one million tosses of the dice on an actual table would take almost 555 days of continual tossing?

Blackjack Casino

Blackjack hands take three to four minutes each.
That represents about 75 to 90 hands in four hours. What good is knowing these percentages?
It is important for the beginner to know that there are reasons for the way odds are calculated, and why some hands pay one way, while others pay differently. Why are there so many ways to play Craps?
How do you make the most effective bets? These are some of the questions that an informed player should be able to answer.
You don’t have to be rich to play in a casino. Legal gaming is fun and, if played properly, can be profitable.
I firmly believe that an informed player, skilled in the mechanics and the rules, will be a happy player;
that’s what gaming is all about. I recommend you to read carefully and Experiment at home. Try to fully understand the game that you wish to play. Once you are familiar with the games you should not feel the least bit intimidated when you step inside a casino for the first time. Should something not be clear in your mind, re-read the section.
If it is still not clear, inquire inside the casino before you play.
The casino management will be very happy to answer your questions. They want you to have fun and enjoy yourself.
I wish you the best of luck in your casino endeavors.
